Joy and peace go hand in hand; without peace, joy feels incomplete. We’ve all felt that restless, nagging sense that something’s missing. The reason is that we were made for more. We were meant to have a living relationship with our Creator. But no matter how hard we try, we cannot reach him and the peace he gives on our own. We simply can never be good enough.

Christmas is the celebration that God himself did what we couldn’t do. He sent his Son Jesus to heal and restore us. Jesus came so that, through him, we could find true peace.

The Christmas story is part of the Greatest Love Story Ever Told. It’s about how God always loved you. He planned for you, wanted you and has only good thoughts towards you. This story tells how, even when humanity turned away from him, God never stopped loving us. He loved us so much that he sent his Son to live among us; to show us who God really is and what love really means. And he took the punishment of everything we ever did wrong so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life together with him.

This good news is for all people. It is for you!
