5-7th of August we had an awesome Celebrate Church Weekend. People were saved, baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. Many guests came to celebrate with us. We thank God for some great days with many new and old friends a lot of fun. We were mightily ministered to by our guest speakers Pastor Tom Rawls from Norwich, England and pastor Per-Johan (P-J) and Ulrica Stenstrand.
Pst. Tom with his sense of humor, using his 12 years of ministry experience in Thai language and culture shared words that impacted and inspired us all. Pst. P-J & Ulrica came and gave us the love and wisdom only “grandparents” can do.
It all escalated with the Launch Party on Sunday afternoon. People streamed in on the red-carpet into our new venue at MercedesBenz in Lumpini.
The atmosphere was full of anticipation and excitement as people mingled around and greeting others. We sensed God’s presence in the worship as the worship team led us in songs like “Nothing is Impossible” and “God of this City”. We were encouraged by some of LifeChurch’s members sharing their stories on the screen and Pastor P-J and Ulrica gave us their hearts. Pastor Paulina & Daniel shared the heart of our church and then they cut the “naval-cord”, the ribbon, held up by the LifeKids symbolizing the next-generation.
“The Church is not about a building. The Church is a movement of people coming to Jesus and being sent out to show God’s love accompanied and equipped by the Holy Spirit.”
The snacks and coffee table was covered with two giant cakes in the shape of Space Shuttles along with Thai snacks and fruit. So many smiling faces were photographed as we all enjoyed this historic Sunday in downtown Bangkok. For more photos please visit this album on our Facebook page.
